Good Bye Indicator Strip Hello Cloth

In the last 11 years since Byron was a baby diapers with indicator strips have been made. They are pretty amazing. When the baby pees a blue strip will appear on the outside of the diaper. It's pretty fabulous. However as you all know we have decided to cloth diaper.

We were initially going to wait a month or two before we began so baby could get big enough to wear the diapers. But since we have given birth to another giant child he reached the recommended weight early. So good bye indicator strip hello finding out the old fashioned way.

You can tell Cy's pretty shocked as well.

Historical Happiness?

When grandma and grandpa were in town we took the family to the C&O Canal. We were anxious to see if Cy enjoyed visiting historical sights any more then Byron does. We started out semi OK then progressed to . . .

out right misery.


Porter stepped in and tried to explain the importance of the canal.

But still Cyrus remained unconvinced.

Finally Byron stepped in and said it was enough.

and so we left to the delight of all three of the Olsen boys.

Grandma Comes to Save the Day

Grandma came to save the day, and the kitchen and the bathroom and the laundry!
It was so wonderful having the extra help. We were so grateful that Grandma and Grandpa were able to come and meet baby Cy and help out as I recovered.

Equal Time

So it was very important to Porter that Byron not feel left out once little Cy got here, so he's been very good at making sure Byron gets equal time with him.



So, if Cy gets rocked, so does Byron...


If Cy gets burped...


then so does Byron

Fortunately for Byron Porter stopped at diaper changes.

Cyrus spit up on him. Byron was not impressed.

Two Week Check Up

Its official, we have another monster baby.
Cyrus gained an entire pound and two inches by his 2 week check up.
We like them big in the Olsen household!

My Three Boys

Baths and Baseball

Busy day 11 for Cyrus.
He started the day with his sink bath and ended it with an
amazing baseball playoff game!

True Cyrus did sleep through most of the game he was awake to see some amazing plays by Byron, and some truly awesome pitching!
Way to go Byron and congrats on wining your playoff game!
