Nursery
And finally we have the nursery complete! I love this room and am so grateful to all our friends and family that made this possible. We received so many amazing gifts from our friends, we've been humbled by all the generosity we have received.

Our First Bengali Wedding
My friend Syeda was married last month and we were invited to attend her wedding. It was a great and interesting evening. I'm glad we were able to attend and celebrate with her.
And here is the bride and groom.

Monkey Madness
I made these fun little cupcakes to thank all the amazing people I work with. They have been so great to me over the last 3 years. It was sad to leave them, but I will forever remember my time at the Montgomery County Circuit Court fondly.

Birthday Surprise Fails Once Again
Porter celebrated his birthday on April 16th, and I once again managed to plan an awkward activity. I really am lousy at planning surprises or gifts for him. This year I found a Edgar Allen Poe themed restaurant called the Annabelle Lee Tavern, except it was more tavern then restaurant. It was the coolest looking place and I loved it, but unfortunately it was much more tavern then restaurant and Porter felt a bit uncomfortable being there with his pregnant wife who couldn't stop taking pictures and his 11 year old son who had never been to a bar before. I guess it wasn't the most logical place for a family of non drinkers to celebrate a birthday but hey it was still pretty cool. Porter did enjoyed my reading of the Poem that morning at breakfast, so I guess it wasn't all bad, and the food really was delicious, the open faced turkey sandwich still makes my mouth water. =)

Here we are tucked into one of the 3 tiny tables at the end of the bar. Byron didn't quite grasp the Gothic decor and thought they should clean the place up a bit. This is also me 8 months pregnant. I forgot to take an individual belly shot for the blog.Posted by Diana at 12:05 PM 0 comments
Cherry Blossom Festival
This year Byron had the opportunity to participate in the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. He was very excited and had a wonderful time. Porter and I were even able to get front row seats to see him perform. It was a lot of fun.Posted by Diana at 12:02 PM 1 comments
Byron Turns 11
My baby is definitely growing up. He turned 11 this year and asked for a trifle a slumber party with his friends and to play Risk . We are so proud of this amazing individual that we have been blessed to parent. He truly is a gift in our lives, and we couldn't imagine our life without him.
