Memory for Dad
When I was still living at home my favorite thing to do Sundays after church was dance with my Dad. He would turn on the record player and we would dance around the living room. My Dad is a great dancer and I miss the feeling of being held in his arms and twirled around the room. When we were dancing around the room everything was perfect. The world was safe and small and everything was under control. When we would dance it was just the two of us, I was his brown eyed girl.
It's been 14 years since I last danced with him and I'd really like to have another dance. So Dad if you are reading this my present to you is my memory of our Sunday dances.
I love you and am glad I've been able to be your brown eyed girl.
Don't forget to save me a few more dances.

Random Shots
Cy's legs are so fat that he can only sit in the bumbo chair for 5 minutes
before the circulation stops flowing to his feet.
I made some baby legs for Cy the other day and I think they turned out pretty cute. Porter keeps taking them off him saying that his son's not going to wear leg warmers unless of course he becomes a dancer.

Middle School Begins
Byron started middle school last week and so far has not been shoved into his locker or thrown into a trash can. We are counting it as a successful first week. Byron is attending Argyle middle school, a magnet program offered in the county that focuses on computer development and design. He is very excited about his classes and is glad that one of his best friends is also attending the school.

3 Months Old
Cy is now 3 months old and weighs a wopping 22 pounds. Yes, I know my poor tender back. =) Not only has he been packing on the pounds he's also figured out that he has hands and arms and that they can entertain him. He's fallen asleep playing with his toys and enjoys a good snuggle with his elephant Castle and his Friend Ernie. Although his all time favorite thing to do is take baths. He'll start at one end of the tub and swim to the other within a minute. He just starts kicking and he's off. We love this kid!

Football? Are you serious?
They were serious. Byron started football this fall. As cute as he looks in his uniform i'm not that thrilled. For the obvious potential injury reasons and just because I hate football. And now were committed to 3 two hour practices a week and a 2 to 3 hour game each week. Yuk! But Byron loves it and Porter pretty much takes him to everything so all in all it's not bad.
Here is another reason I'm not fond of the sport. All the players look the exact same out on the field. Now give me a good ballet practice or recital and I think i'd be good. Sadly I don't think Cy's going to be able to help me out in that department either.
