Byron's latest instrument.
He really wanted to play the violin but we only had a trumpet on hand, and I didn't feel like hunting down a violin to rent. I told him there's always next year for the violin. Can't wait till the first Band recital. I'm planning on bringing ear plugs. =)

Having siblings that played both the violin and the trumpet, I can tell you that they are equally painful to listen to for the first couple of months. So you may as well go for the free one... =)
