Byron has started his 6th season of baseball and he's still loving it. Also notice this is Porter's first year being assistant coach. Let me just say to that, $50 discount for the season if you agree to help coach. That pretty much sums up how he became the assistant coach. Anyway, this year Byron started kid pitch. His previous seasons have been machine pitch, which is awesome! The machine pitches the balls out in a pretty consistent pattern, the boys actually hit the ball and run bases, occasionally plays are made in outfield. Pretty entertaining stuff. With kid pitch its a whole new ball game. 2 hours of hoping that the pitcher will actually throw a strike. Any way, Byron decided that the best position on the team was pitcher so he was chosen to be one of the 3 pitchers on the team. He's been doing exceptionally good. So far he's only hit one batter in the back, which for kid pitch is pretty good.

Now those of you who see Byron often know that he's pretty tall and skinny and has lots of long limbs, but no where is this more apparent then when you watch him pitch. He's a whirl of arms and legs. But he still looks good. We figure once he's able to control said lanky limbs he'll be a force to wreckin with.

(and not just because the last picth almost beamed a kid, ok maybe that's why i'd be worried, but still.)
